How did the Kama Sutra help me make a mediumship connection?

"Embrace the whispers of the unseen, for in the spiritual realms, we find the light that guides our souls." ✨🦋 🌟 ~ Elaine Somerville

Introduction:

A few years back, while prepping for an event, I was greeted by an unexpected mental slideshow—Kama Sutra positions! At first, I was puzzled, but when legs started flying up in the air and revealing scenes I hadn't exactly signed up for, I couldn't help but chuckle. Out loud. I thought to myself, 'Either I'm losing it, or someone's got a spicy spirit tonight!' Sure enough, when I got to the venue, those cheeky visions were still hanging around. Now, I might not be a Kama Sutra expert (who is, really?), but we've all shared those awkward schoolyard giggles about it, right? Ah, the joys of mediumship! 😂✨

Elaine Somerville, blonde hair, surprised mediumship event with audience, pink and gold colour blocks, how the kama sutra helped me make a deep meaningful connection

As I prepped for my event, the Kama Sutra unexpectedly crashed my mental party. I was both amused and slightly concerned—hoping this wasn't signaling someone with a wild party lifestyle on my hands! Despite my attempts to shake those cheeky images, they clung on as I began the evening. I decided to break the ice with the audience, confessing my day's salacious visions. Suddenly, the pieces clicked—it was about someone eagerly contemplating new adventures in the horizontal tango, more like 'friends with benefits' than a romantic saga. I tentatively asked if anyone related to pondering new positions in a budding fling, and to my surprise, a sweet, hopeful 18-year-old girl raised her hand. I chuckled inside, having wished I was way off! But, as things would have it, her gran had a loving message: to remind her she's worth so much more and to cherish herself beyond fleeting passions. 😂💫

How did I know that?

In mediumship, our forgotten memories often reappear to guide us. This Kama Sutra flashback? Well, it traces back to my school days at around 14, giggling with friends about the infamous book during a sunny lunch break. I hadn't physically seen the book but witnessed it clairvoyantly! It brought back those cheeky schoolyard laughs and the absurd thought of having a secret everyone might teasingly speculate about. That mix of embarrassment and mystery... classic clairsentience in action, blending seamlessly with clairvoyance.

I'm fortunate to have all my senses at play: clairvoyance, clairsentience, clairaudience, and claircognizance—all enriching the mediumship experience. Oh, and there's clairgustance too—those moments you 'taste' a food just by sensing it. These mystical tools make each connection vibrant and uniquely perceptive!  🌟🤣

Is it only memories?

In mediumship, it's not just about memories—it's the emotions and sensations that embody clairsentience. When sensing a presence, like a father figure, I don't always immediately know who he is or his exact relationship. Instead, I tune into the feelings associated with my own dad, who passed years ago. Incredibly, he often steps in to guide me, acting as a key member of my 'spirit team.' It's a comforting reminder that he's there not for a casual visit, but to support and assist me in making meaningful connections for others. His presence is a supportive gesture, offering guidance rather than a personal hello. 🌟 🕊️

Experiences good & bad

In mediumship, beyond memories and emotions, it's life experiences—both joyous and challenging—that shape our journey. Personal growth and healing are intricately linked to mediumship, as they enhance and deepen our spiritual connections. Without healing and growth, we risk projecting unresolved memories, which could misguide those we're connecting with. Embracing personal development ensures that our insights are pure and beneficial, enabling us to serve others with clarity and compassion. 🌿✨

In mediumship, alongside memories and emotions, our life experiences—whether uplifting or painful—play a crucial role. Personal growth and healing profoundly enhance our connections. Without addressing personal wounds, like harboring unresolved feelings from several bitter divorces, we might unintentionally project these onto others. This could mislead someone going through a remarkably amicable separation. While pure intentions can help bypass personal biases, being mindful of our healing journey ensures our guidance is clear and authentic, truly serving those we connect with." 🌼✨

Is there any "guess work"

In mediumship, there's no room for 'guess work.' Leaning solely on clairvoyance can lead down a path of uncertainty, so opening all your senses is the way to go. How do you do it? By healing from the rollercoaster of life, building your confidence, and embracing self-love to keep the ego at bay. I remember the day I became acutely aware of my own spirit (yes, we've all got one!), and figured I should probably watch my swearing—you know, those moments when you'd much rather shout a few colorful words! I read somewhere that negativity, from bad language to diet choices, could stifle growth. So, cutting the cursing was way easier than forsaking my precious chocolate or crisps! This quirky, self-reflective journey keeps my growth steady and my mediumship sharp! 😂✨

What's it like talking to my guide's...

Picture a guardian angel, head in hands, thinking, 'Oh lord, what now?' That's my life. I chat away to mine regularly—don’t worry, I haven’t lost it. My guide's connected to my higher self, trying to nudge me toward better choices while I’m happily chillin' at ground level. It's like having an angel and a devil on your shoulder; sometimes the angel's wisdom prevails, but other times the devil’s mischief seems way more entertaining!

My inner debates can get comically timed. I remember a medium pal saying her late mother popped up over her husband’s shoulder during marital relations—talk about a mood killer! Some folks think they need to speak all 'holier than thou' with their guides, but in reality, being yourself is key. I mentally stamp my feet like a stubborn child and chat with him like he's an old friend. Being genuine really strengthens that bond!  😄✨

What benefits have I had?

"Knuckling down on 'bettering' my mediumship has brought some awesome rewards. I've strengthened my connections with clients and event-goers and even helped other mediums amp up their skills. Back in 2015, this dedication opened a cool door—I got invited to hold workshops and events in Vancouver, BC. Since then, I've been spending 3-4 weeks there each year, soaking up experiences and meeting fantastic people.

Travel took me around Europe and the USA, learning and connecting as I went. When COVID hit, my students from around the world popped online for our workshops, which amazingly still continues. I’ve met a ton of amazing folks from diverse backgrounds—all thanks to my mediumship. I truly believe keeping your mediumship at a high standard opens the door to incredible international opportunities. It’s been a wonderful, growth-filled ride!” 🌟🌏

My thoughts on skeptics...

When it comes to skeptics, I'll admit—I sometimes have an 'EURGH' moment! But really, a skeptic is just someone who hasn't yet found the proof they need. I’m not here to prove my abilities; you either believe or you don’t. Or you're open to possibilities, which is basically believing there's a chance. I’m cool with however folks feel.

There was this one event where a woman sat down, keenly eyeing my every move. I asked, 'What brings you here?' She was wanting proof, but I quickly said, 'I don't need to prove anything.' Then I mentioned her mother’s nature—apparently, just as skeptical—and shared about a coin she carried, marked with her mother's birth year. It was something special they shared.

By the end, she thanked me, feeling immense relief knowing her mom was still around. She admitted she didn’t know me from Adam and pondered how I’d know these details. Her conclusion? It must have been her mother chatting with us from beyond. Moments like this remind me why I love what I do!  😄💫
