I'm proud that I recognised my mediumship abilities, took the steps to develop them, and kept going even when confidence was nowhere to be found.
I'm proud that I stood up when spirit called me to step forward and trusted the process one connection at a time.
Most of all, I'm proud that I kept going through some of the darkest times in my life, because without those experiences I wouldn't have had the opportunity to teach, demonstrate and share mediumship with people across the UK, Canada, the USA and Dublin.
The shy version of me from 2008 would never have believed this life was possible.
If there's one thing I've learned through all of these years working with spirit, it's this:
Trust grows through experience.
Confidence grows through action.
Belief grows every time you realise spirit was there all along.
People often assume that because I'm a medium, I spend my days floating around talking to spirit and being deeply mystical.
The reality is a little different. đ
I'm naturally curious and have spent most of my life asking questions, looking for meaning, and trying to understand what sits behind the things we can't always explain.
I've also been known to be a little scattered at times. My late husband Peter used to ask me which head I had on that day because I could be focused one minute and completely off on a tangent the next.
I'm a proud mam, grandma, dog mum to Luna, and partner to David, who's also a medium. You'd think we'd spend our evenings talking to spirit, but most of the time we're discussing what we're having for tea, winding each other up, planning family days out or even where we've put something five minutes after putting it down (usually his stinking socks!) đ
I love a good laugh, and never take myself too seriously.
The truth is, while mediumship is a huge part of my life, it's not all of who I am.
At the end of the day, I'm just a normal person who happens to have an extraordinary relationship with spirit.
And if you've ever met me at a class, workshop or event, you'll know there's usually as much laughter as there is learning.

I'm also the author of Zen but Also Kinda Chaotic, a heartfelt and humorous book inspired by life's ups, downs and everything in between.
